The TV magazine show Twin Cities Live was created in April 2008 to highlight everything that makes Minnesota great. Each day, Minnesotans tune in to Twin Cities Live to discover new and unique family fun options, gain sneak peeks into great local restaurants, and connect to stories about real people making a difference right here in their home state. When national celebrities visit the Twin Cities, they inevitably head to the TCL studios for an appearance. The show has welcomed Wolfgang Puck, Marie Osmond, Dan Aykroyd, and Kristi Yamaguchi amongst its list of celebrity guests.
True to its celebration of all things local, Twin Cities Live is hosted by Minnesota natives. John Hanson was discovered at a casting call held at Bloomington’s Mall of America and his co-host Elizabeth Ries is a graduate of Apple Valley High School.
TCL airs each weekday afternoon from 3pm-4pm on 5 Eyewitness News. Every Friday, the show hosts a live, in-studio audience. The tickets are FREE and available on a first come, first serve basis. Be sure to reserve your free tickets early- shows are “sold out” months in advance!
